See exactly what is hidden inside an image before you share it. Drop a JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP, or AVIF (up to 20MB) and this viewer extracts the embedded EXIF, GPS, IPTC, and XMP data — the camera and lens, exposure settings, timestamps, dimensions and megapixels, and often the precise GPS coordinates where the photo was taken. A privacy report flags anything sensitive, GPS coordinates are shown with direct links to Google Maps and OpenStreetMap, and a summary header shows the file, camera, and capture date at a glance. Detailed sections break out every tag group, and you can export the whole report as JSON — pipe it into the JSON Formatter to pretty-print or JSON to TypeScript to generate types. Parsing happens entirely on your device; the image is never uploaded.
How to Use
- 1Drop an image (JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP, or AVIF, max 20MB) onto the upload area or click to browse.
- 2Read the summary header for the file, dimensions, megapixels, camera, and capture date.
- 3Check the privacy report for any flagged sensitive data, and the Location section if GPS is present.
- 4Open the Google Maps or OpenStreetMap link to see exactly where a geotagged photo was taken.

What is EXIF metadata?
Photos from cameras and phones embed hidden data — the device and lens, exposure settings, the exact time, and often the GPS coordinates where the shot was taken. This viewer surfaces all of it and warns you about anything sensitive before you share the file. Screenshots and exported images usually carry none of it.

It surfaces EXIF (camera, lens, exposure, timestamps, orientation), GPS location, and IPTC and XMP tags where present, along with basic facts like file type, dimensions, and megapixels. The data is grouped into readable sections and also available as a full JSON export.
