About this ToolHow it works, benefits & use casesTap to collapse
Crop an image by dragging, right in your browser. Drop a file (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF up to 25MB) and Image Cropper opens it on an interactive stage with a movable crop box, eight resize handles, and a rule-of-thirds overlay to help you compose. Drag inside the box to reposition it and pull the handles to resize; lock an aspect ratio from the toolbar — Free, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, or their portrait counterparts (3:4, 2:3, 9:16) — and the box stays proportional. You can also rotate the export left or right in 90° steps and flip it horizontally or vertically. A side-by-side result panel renders the crop live with its output dimensions and file size, and you can convert the format (keep original, JPEG, WebP, or PNG) and set a quality level before downloading. The crop region is reported in true source pixels, and nothing is ever uploaded — all processing happens on your device.
How to Use
- 1Drop or pick an image to crop — a centered crop box appears on the stage.
- 2Drag inside the box to move it and pull the handles to resize; the pixel dimensions update as you go.
- 3Choose an aspect ratio from the toolbar (Free, 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, and more) to constrain the box.
- 4Optionally rotate left/right or flip the result horizontally or vertically.
- 5Set the output format and quality, check the live result panel, then click Download.

Drag anywhere inside the crop box to reposition it, and pull any of the handles to resize. When no aspect ratio is locked you get all eight handles (corners and edges); when a ratio is locked only the corner handles appear so the box stays proportional.
Free (unconstrained), 1:1 for avatars, 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 for landscape, plus the portrait ratios 3:4, 2:3, and 9:16. Picking a ratio recenters the box to fit and keeps it proportional as you resize.
