Why this exists

At Matter Development, we ship full-stack products for clients across SaaS, fintech, and devtools. Every project ends up needing the same handful of small utilities — generate a UUID, decode a JWT, format a JSON payload, hash a value, convert a PNG to WebP. We were tired of googling “json formatter online” and clicking through ad-laden landing pages each time.

consolelog.tools is the consolidated answer: a single, ad-light, signup-free home for those utilities. It started as an internal Matter project and outgrew internal-tool scope within a few months. We kept it free because the cost of hosting static tools is negligible and the goodwill is real. If a fraction of developers who use it ever need an agency for their next project — and remember the tools that didn’t waste their time — that’s a pipeline we’re happy with.

What guides the project

  • No signup, no tracking

Every tool runs in your browser. No accounts, no email gates, no telemetry on what you paste or generate. The fastest path between "I have a problem" and "I have an answer" is no path at all.

  • Speed as a design constraint

Tools are useful when they're instantaneous. We treat sub-100ms response time as a feature, not a nice-to-have. That shapes everything — bundle sizes, the choice of formats, what runs on the client vs the server, and which animations we cut.

  • One shortcut away

⌘K opens the palette and types narrow it down. Most tools are three keystrokes from any page on the site. The CLI mirrors the same set, so the equivalent commands work in your terminal too.

  • The catalog only grows

New tools land continuously. Each one is added because we'd use it ourselves at Matter — that's the bar. If a tool turns out to be unused, it stays anyway; the cost of keeping it is rounding error and someone, somewhere, will need it.

Who’s behind this

Day-to-day, consolelog.tools is built and maintained by Mohammed Banani — the founder of Matter Development. The same engineering team that ships client products at Matter rotates through new tools and improvements here.

If your team needs more than a single tool — full product builds, refactors, design systems, AI integrations — Matter is where to find us.
